Sharon Peddie
Co-founder and Cook Extraordinaire, Sharon is responsible for growing and sourcing the fresh, local produce and creating the delicious plant-based meals. Sharon also facilitates mandala painting therapy and guided mountain walks to retreat clients. Sharon is a goldsmith and violin maker by trade and continues these passions alongside her integral role at High Hopes.

Beverley Blumberg
Beverley has lived in Greyton for more than 18 years, where she teaches yoga and sells property. She teaches Hatha Yoga, focusing on awakening an understanding of the body – awareness of posture and the importance of establishing a balanced foundation. She enjoys going back to basics and exploring the demands of a rigorous daily commitment that is both physical and emotional.

Janine Hayward
Janine Hayward is a multi-modality holistic healer, artist, musician and teacher living in the quaint town of Greyton. She provides transformative, deeply relaxing sessions for clients that are on the “learning to love all of me” adventure. She guides clients towards their true nature while honouring the emergent process of healing. At High Hopes she offers Access Bars sessions that bring clients into deeper connection with themselves, providing time to “just be” and enjoy restorative rest and renewal. Each session is an invitation to increase one’s capacity to receive and access more ease and joy, beyond the confines of past programming. Body processes to reduce the effects of trauma and improve immune function are included where required.

Juanita Praeg
Juanita Finestone-Praeg is Emeritus Professor in Performance Studies
and Choreography at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa. She has extensive experience as a performer, choreographer, educator and researcher, having worked in the academy and the profession for over 38 years. She has accumulated her teaching and research experience within selected tertiary educational structures as well as working within project-based professional theatre and community contexts. Juanita holds a PhD Degree (2020) in Choreography and Performance Studies. The longest standing member of the First Physical Theatre Company, Juanita has contributed to the company’s vision and been actively involved in all its research, educational, community, performance and choreographic programmes over the past thirty years.
